The LFIA had the honor to receive Professor Mourou, Nobel Prize of Physics, who gave a lecture entitled “Passion, extreme light” to the students of 12th grade SPC and SVT specialties.
Mr. Mourou discovered how to give more power to LASER. The applications are numerous and already known, such as eye surgery, but others are very promising for mankind such as: reducing the life span of radioactive waste, cleaning space of debris orbiting the earth, treating cancers with proton therapy, an ultra-precise form of radiotherapy.
