French education abroad is based on plurilingual and pluricultural education. From kindergarten to CM2, we offer the students of our school a daily practice of English representing 30% of our weekly teaching. The organization of the PS in CM2 is as follows:
- 3 hours of English language proficiency : literature, spelling, grammar, conjugation, written and oral expression.
- 4h30 of CLIL (Teaching of a Subject Integrated into a Foreign Language) : arts, sport, sciences, geography and some fields in mathematics.
We collaborate with the “British Council” to enable our CM2 students to take a test, the APTIS. This provides reliable and accurate results on students’ language skills: it tests grammar, vocabulary and skills such as speaking, writing, reading and listening. The test begins with general questions and then progresses to more demanding tasks. Each of the skills in the test assesses English levels on a scale from A1 to C according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
We also offer the possibility for your children to follow extracurricular activities in English, whether they are sports, artistic or cultural.
